The Hard Six, v3

The Hard Six was created fourteen months ago to serve as my personal website.

It was mildly successful at first, receiving a handful of Diggs, a couple hundred hits a month, and most notably, a link from Daring Fireball.

Then it sputtered. My life began to radically change in front of me - my intended degree, my job, my home, and my friends - were all in flux. The Hard Six fell by the wayside as managing my rapidly transforming life became the priority.

But now its back.

My life is back on track. I am working towards a BA in Computer Science at Skidmore College. I am going to work for Apple Retail. I am going to live in Saratoga Springs. And I have many, wonderful friends and co-workers.

So, readers, enjoy The Hard Six, version 3.

One of the above sentences stands out among the rest.

“I am going to work for Apple Retail.”

You read that right. I work for Apple. And I am sure you know what that means.

Apple Inc. is no longer a topic that will be discussed on The Hard Six, per my employment agreement with Apple. The focus of this website will shift primarily towards discussion of the internet as it evolves around us and my favorite form of entertainment, video games.

When I say Apple will no longer be a part of The Hard Six, I mean it in the most comprehensively possible way. Anything even vaguely related to Apple will not be discussed here. Emails regarding Apple will be ignored. Comments regarding Apple will be deleted before they are even seen by anyone else. I mean it. It simply isn’t worth my job.

I don’t like it any more than you do. I liked writing about Apple. But I like working for Apple more. So that settles that.

Now that that’s out of the way, I’m going to go play Rock Band and finish my XHTML and CSS tutorial.
